對嘉義市圖書館未來的想像

從過去到現在，圖書館存在的目的、資訊的載體、空間、活動，都隨著時間有所改變。近年，因科技改變了資訊傳遞方式和載體，實體書漸減，讓圖書館在未來的存在性被受質疑…但在資訊爆炸的時代下，圖書館所篩選、整理的資訊是較為正確的，圖書館建築傳遞的美學美感也是重要的，有其存在的必要；電子與實體更應該相輔相成。所以，未來的圖書館載體也可以是人、活動、空間，實作體驗和外在環境也是閱讀的一環，且充滿地域特色，更重要的是成為：讓人能打開五感，用不同方式，專注閱讀的地方。

From the past to the present, the purpose of the library's existence, the carrier of information, the space, and the activities have all changed over time. In recent years, technology has changed the way and carrier of information transmission, and the number of physical books has gradually decreased, so the existence of the library in the future has been questioned... But in the era of information explosion, the information selected and organized by the library is relatively correct. The aesthetics conveyed by the library building is also important and necessary; electronics and physical books should complement each other. Therefore, the library carrier in the future can also be people, activities, and space. The practical experience and external environment are also a part of reading, and they should be full of regional characteristics. Most importantly, it will become a place where people can open their five senses, use different methods, and focus to read.
